Monterey Mushrooms, North America’s largest grower/shipper of fresh mushrooms, recently named PECO Pallet its preferred pallet supplier. Monterey Mushrooms signed a corporate-level agreement with PECO Pallet to use PECO’s signature red block pallets for shipping to wholesale, retail, and chain store customers across the U.S.
Dan Hager, Corporate Purchasing Manager at Monterey Mushrooms, said, “We ship over 500,000 pounds of fresh mushrooms every day, so we need a pallet supplier who can consistently provide top quality pallets when and where we need them. After considering other options, we decided that PECO Pallet’s superior pallet quality, outstanding service, and competitive pricing offer the best overall value for our company.”
Adrian Potgieter, Vice President of Sales for PECO Pallet, stated that “PECO Pallet is very pleased to work in partnership with a widely respected national produce leader like Monterey Mushrooms. We look forward to continuing to expand our relationship by providing them with the best quality pallets and service in the industry.”
Monterey Mushrooms is headquartered in Watsonville, California and produces more than 215 million pounds of fresh mushrooms annually. The company plans to utilize PECO pallets at their locations across the U.S., including farms in California, Texas, Illinois, Tennessee, Pennsylvania, and Florida.
