Phoenix Suns Center Shaquille O’Neal is teaming with Oklahoma City-based international hunger relief organization Feed The Children and FaithWorld Center of Orlando for the “PB & Shaq” eventto be held Monday, Mar. 2, starting at 6 p.m. at FaithWorld Center of Orlando (7601 Forest City Rd). Each attendee must bring at least 10 jars of new peanut butter or a $20 donation to the event for admission.
Peanut butter is included in all in Feed The Children food boxes, so there is always a need for the product. All items collected in Monday’s event will be distributed by Feed The Children to families in need throughout the United States.
Feed The Children Founder and President Larry Jones and FaithWorld Center of Orlando Senior Pastor Clint Brown will lead a special fellowship program at 7 p.m. O’Neal, whose team is in town to play the Orlando Magic on Tuesday night, will also be in attendance. Drawings for prizes will also be held.
“We are so happy to get the chance to work with Shaquille O’Neal and FaithWorld Center of Orlando,” said Larry Jones. “Shaq is a role model to many and what better way to set a great example by helping many families in need.”
