North Central Equity LLC, a Minneapolis based holding company, announced that its subsidiary, Perham Egg LLC, has acquired the assets of an egg processing business in Perham, Minnesota. The business removes the shells from eggs and converts them to liquid for use in the baking industry and by processors of dried eggs.
“We are especially pleased to close on this transaction because we were able to preserve a large number of jobs as a result of our purchase. The seller had previously announced that it was going to close the plant in Perham,” said Elam Baer, the CEO of North Central Equity. Almost all employees who worked at the plant before the closing on the transaction are now employed by Perham Egg LLC.
“We are pleased to add this business to our family of companies,” said Elam Baer. The new ownership group includes Joel Baer and Jona Baer, the owners of the FarMoor Valley Egg Company, who bring many decades of experience in the poultry industry.
“This will be the fourteenth acquisition for North Central,” added Elam Baer. “North Central continues to search for other companies to acquire.”
North Central Equity LLC is a Minneapolis, Minnesota based privately-owned holding company, established in 2004. It has completed fourteen acquisitions and currently has eight operating subsidiaries.
