SC&H Group, a leading audit, tax, and consulting firm, recently hosted its 8th Annual Day of Service, which aims to give back to the community through company-wide volunteering efforts.
SC&H Group’s team in Northern Virginia volunteered its time at the following organizations:
Volunteers did everything from helping care for sheltered animals to trash pick-up and cleanup to planting, watering, and harvesting on a farm to assisting veterans. In many cases, employees volunteer their time with these organizations and others outside of the Day of Service, as well as donate to charities through payroll deductions.
“SC&H Group offers a unique culture where giving back to the community is a top priority, and our Day of Service is one shining example of this,” said Ron Causey, Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder of SC&H Group. “This vision extends beyond the Day of Service and is something that we focus on daily. From volunteering and providing financial contributions to select organizations throughout the year, giving back has consistently been one of our core values. We would also like to offer a special thanks to Business Volunteers for helping to coordinate this outstanding effort.”
It is estimated that approximately 200 employees collectively donated more than 1,200 hours total of their time through this event.
