SAN FRANCISCO, CA — (Marketwired) — 07/17/14 — FunPlus, a mobile social games company that puts fun first for players and communities worldwide, today announced the launch of Barn Voyage, a free-to-play, farming simulation that allows gamers to create the farm of their dreams via abundant game features, including specialty machines, premium goods and achievements. Barn Voyage is currently available for iOS, with the Android version coming in August.
Barn Voyage’s deep gameplay offers users over 250 quests on 30 fun-filled levels, offering at least a month of active play time. Players can grow crops, collect fruits and nuts, and use over 100 different recipes to make various foods or turn into feed for farm animals ranging from chicken, cows and pigs to goats, sheep and geese. The game encourages use of crafting skills by giving players over 60 unique recipes to make, including the use of “social ingredients” that can be earned or gifted by others. Players can take their creative skills to task in an effort to create the ultimate farm.
“Barn Voyage incorporates the best gameplay of the genre while building in compelling features that the gaming community has been seeking,” said Andy Zhong, CEO of FunPlus. “This has been an exciting year for FunPlus, and I couldn’t be more proud of our passionate global development teams who are smartly creating games that appeal to a consistently growing worldwide audience.”
In Barn Voyage, specialty machines can be used to make yogurt and other premium goods that can be sold to individual townsfolk, or on the global market that features friends and other players around the world. Barn Voyage’s unique global market eliminates the need to travel to each person within the game to sell goods.
FunPlus will make Barn Voyage available at launch in 14 different localized international languages, including Arabic, Chinese (traditional and simplified), French, German, Russian, Spanish and Turkish.
Barn Voyage will be available for the Android platform in August.
