National Association of Professional Women Announces Rev. Janet H. Blackburn, Mayor, City of Omaha, Texas, as a 2014 Professional Woman of the Year

From meticulously planning annual events to overseeing improvements to public spaces to undertaking new projects, Rev. Blackburn leads her team of public service professionals as they continually put plans in motion to further enhance the City of Omaha, Texas. As an elected official who cares about the needs and desires of her constituents, Rev. Blackburn always takes the time to listen to their ideas and suggestions for improving the community, offering her own input and creative insight whenever necessary.

A leader at her church, as well, Rev. Blackburn is planning to write a spiritual blog to help guide and advise the congregation. In the near future, she and her husband are hoping to establish a goat dairy farm for milk and cheese, and to also breed miniature horses.
