For six days, participants will have an opportunity to deepen their practice of yoga while being surrounded by the dramatic towering red rock walls of Arizona’s Boynton Canyon at Enchantment Resort. The 70-acre resort is designed to take advantage of the breathtaking scenery with one-story adobe accommodations, restaurants and terraces offering spectacular views of rock formations and pine forests.
Here, modern yogis can take advantage of Enchantment’s “Mii amo” spa which offers an amazing array of traditional and exotic spa treatments, including massage, body wraps, facials, steam and sauna, etc. The spa is also rated as 1 of the 10 best destination spas in the world.
When participants are through with their yoga and spa sessions they can enjoy a huge variety of activities including their choice of a par 3 golf course or championship 18 hole course, tennis courts, hiking trails, 6 swimming pools, 6 restaurants, and decks just for star gazing. Nearby are ancient Indian ruins, hiking in Red Rock State Park, train rides through the mountains, balloon rides, horseback rides, mountain biking or the Grand Canyon (a 2hr. drive), museums, art galleries, and more. Of course the option to just kick back, relax, and drink in the incredible natural beauty of Sedonais always available.
As Ronda Cuddeback who has attended five of these yoga retreats put it: “Enchantment Resort is the perfect blend of luxury, hiking, and beauty. There is an undeniable spirit to the land which creates a backdrop for going deeper into your yoga practice.”
Catering to upscale baby boomers, VanEs says he thinks of his Sedona yoga retreats as a practice of “mind, body, spirit, and luxury.”
