Kevin Slawin Elected to Trustmark Companies Board

Kevin Slawin, Managing Director, Black Diamond Advisory Services, has been elected to the board of directors of Trustmark Mutual Holding Company (Trustmark). The announcement was made by Trustmark Chairman David Weick.

“Kevin has uniquely broad leadership experience,” said Weick. “He’s successfully served in a variety of C-suite roles, where he has led businesses, driven corporate strategy, developed marketing driven cultures, increased sale force production and effectively leveraged technology to open up new opportunities. That range of leadership experience, and in particular his financial expertise and leadership of financial organizations, will help him quickly become a valuable addition to Trustmark’s board.”

At Black Diamond Advisory Services, Mr. Slawin is involved with private equity transactions. Prior to Black Diamond, Mr. Slawin served as Executive Vice President, Marketing and Distribution at FBL Financial Group, the publicly traded management company of Farm Bureau Life Insurance Company and Farm Bureau Property & Casualty Insurance Company. In addition to his responsibilities leading marketing and distribution, Mr. Slawin was a member of management’s Executive Committee and Chairman of the Life Advisory Board and Member Benefits Committees.

Mr. Slawin also held several leadership positions during a 14-year career at The Allstate Corporation, where he was a member of management’s Executive Committee at Allstate Financial Group. At Allstate Financial, his roles included President of Distribution, Chief Financial Officer, head of Operations and Technology, and CEO, Allstate Bank.

Mr. Slawin has or currently serves on the boards of a number of business, professional and charitable organizations, including the Allstate Life Insurance Company, Allstate Bank, American Heritage Life Insurance, Lincoln Benefit Life Insurance Company, Lumex Corporation, Insurance Market Standards Association, Children’s Heart Foundation, and North Suburban YMCA.

Mr. Slawin holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the Kelley School of Business, Indiana University, and a Masters of Management earned at the J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management, Northwestern University.
