He is an exceptionally experienced hospitalist and internal medicine physician with a vast expertise in all facets of his work. Dr. Paraschiv has been practicing for more than fifteen years and is currently serving patients as Director of Hospitalists of Virginia LLP in Richmond, Virginia, a position he assumed in 2012. He is also on staff at Johnston-Willis Hospital in Richmond, CJW Medical Center – Chippenham Campus, also in Richmond, and Southside Regional Hospital in Petersburg, Virginia. Dr. Paraschiv further serves as Associate Program Director, Internist, and Hospitalist at ECI Healthcare Partners in Richmond.

Dr. Paraschiv is an expert in hospital medicine, which is a discipline dealing with the medical care of acutely ill hospitalized patients. He studied for his medical degree in Romania, his native country, at the prestigious University of Medicine and Pharmacy Carol Davila/ Universitatea de Medicina si Farmacie Carol Davila in Bucharest. Following his graduation in 1998, he performed at an exceptional level in various roles for world-famous pharmaceutical companies, including GlaxoSmithKline, Pfizer, and Bayer. He then devoted 7 years of his career to his role as Unit Chief Physician in the Romanian Air Forces. Upon relocating to the United States, Dr. Paraschiv completed his internship and internal medicine residency at Kingsbrook Jewish Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York.

Dr. Paraschiv stays at the forefront of his specialty through professional memberships with the American College of Physicians, the Richmond Academy of Medicine, the American Medical Association, and the Society of Hospital Medicine. He is also a diplomate of the American Board of Internal Medicine. Dr. Paraschiv feels that his success is mostly attributable to his commitment to internal medicine, a remarkable set of skills and knowledge, hard work, and empathy for patients. He dedicates his spare time to skiing.
